New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Showoff is making a fan based video for our new single "Popular Kid", and we want you to be in it! We are asking you, our fans, to take smartphone videos of yourselves singing along to our song in your very own bedrooms. We will be compiling the footage together to make a meaningful music video. We are looking for you to make these shots as beautiful as possible. The best shots will have the best chance of getting used!
What To Do
1) Record yourself singing along to the Youtube video on post, don't stress out about getting every single word right, we will just be using key moments of your performance.
2) Hold your phone landscape (sideways) when shooting the video, not the other way
3) We're looking for somewhat similar composition in all of the videos for continuity sake when we're editing, so use this shot as a basic layout to match. The background is up to, it should be your favorite setting, wherever you feel most at home — just make sure it's well lit!):
4) Take some short videos of key aspects of your room.
Almost think of this like a photo but in video form. Things like your favorite poster on the wall, your favorite drink, bracelet, book, magazine — whatever makes you tick! As with your actual lip-synch video, make these shots as beautiful as possible.
