NEW YORK (Lava Records) - Rock n' roll bad boys Unwritten Law are partying like rock stars as their current single "Save Me" climbs to the top of the alternative chart. The track officially went to No 10 today after only 6 weeks at the format. The bona-fide hit single is featured on the band's forthcoming Lava Records studio effort Here's To the Mourning, which will be available in stores February 1st.

"Save Me," co-penned by Unwritten Law and tunesmith Linda Perry is becoming quite the dark alternative anthem. The track's cutting-edge animated video, directed by Brett Simon (Hoobastank, Good Charlotte) features some of the most shocking and creative animation previously seen only in video games. In the video, each band member is uniquely re-created in a live concert setting, along with a darker, introspective subplot where singer Scott Russo battles his demons. The video is currently enjoying substantial rotation on MTV2, VH-1 and Fuse.

Here's To the Mourning contains some of the best pure rock n' roll tracks on par with modern rock favorites Green Day and Velvet Revolver. The disc covers all the bases including tales of debauchery, abuse and breakups and is the quintet's official follow-up to their breakthrough album Elva which sold upwards of 400,000 albums. Unwritten Law is Scott Russo on vocals/guitar; Pat Kim on bass; Steve Morris on guitar; Rob Brewer on guitar; and newly added drummer Tony Palermo.
