New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Montana's most unique music festival, The Pirate Party, has staked its claim within the national music festival circuit in 2017 with a bigger venue, bigger vision, and a lineup of internationally acclaimed musical artists to gather in the northwest this July 21st through 24th. This four-day event, taking place at the historic Lincoln's Silver Dollar Inn in Haugan, Montana, combines live music, art, camping, workshops, and mountain activities in a pirate-y fashion fit for the high seas.

Now in its 8th consecutive year, the Pirate Party has grown from its underground roots as a renegade party outside Bozeman, MT into the nationally recognized music festival it is today. Boasting the biggest musical lineup yet, 2017's festival will feature Emancipator Ensemble, the full live band project of Portland-based producer Emancipator, known for his rich atmospheric electronic compositions. Also on the bill is New Zealand's melodic dubstep duo Mt. Eden, EDM heavy-hitter Buku, Israeli-based DJ and producer Perfect Stranger, uplifting hip-hop performances by Zion-I and Lafa Taylor, and over 127 other national and local acts.

The Pirate Party prides themselves on booking the best underground music of our era, and you will often see the smaller acts that play the pirate party headlining major festivals a few years later. The production is world-class, featuring state of the art sound systems by Funktion-One, Danley, and PK, and visuals by Sauce Monster, Keith Anderson, Zebbler Encanti Experience and more. The music continues till well past sunrise on 3 of the 5 stages.

Having set sail last year from its previous location at Lolo Hot Springs, the Pirate Party has dropped anchor this year at its new venue, the Silver Dollar Inn, expanding the festival footprint by four times and offering shaded forest camping. Roughly halfway between Missoula MT and Coeur D'ALene, ID, the inn/bar is an historic American tourist destination, famous for the 50,000+ silver dollars adorning the bar-top and walls.

The Pirate Party truly has something for everyone. Aside from the four pirate-themed music stages, the festival will feature over 60 of the region's best live painters creating work throughout the weekend, a full art gallery, and interactive art installations from live multi-media artists. Also performing will be fire spinners, dancers, aerial acrobats, and other live performance artists. 'Pirates' are also free to attend the 20+ workshops, yoga classes, and other exciting activities for landlubbers and scallywags alike.

Montana's vibrant cultural scene is thriving due to events like The Pirate Party. National music and arts communities have taken notice of the creativity and energy that emerges out of this unique area. This July young people, music fans, tastemakers, and people of all walks of life will set sail from all across the Western U.S., dawn their most pirate-y garb and show the world why The Pirate Party is an event that must be experienced.
