Mark Chesnutt in Print:
Mark Chesnutt's mug covers the face page of January the 2005 issue of Country Music People Magazine. The thirty-four year old, award winning magazine (that spans from Austin to Nashville and beyond) features a six-page spread to introduce Mark to a new international fan base and re-acquaint him with old and loyal listeners.
And for the first time, Chesnutt is a centerfold: the centerfold of Country Music News (January 2005). The Canadian publication has selected Mark Chesnutt's Savin' the Honky Tonk as the Number 1 Album of 2004 stating 'the album is a career album and likely the classic example of an artist being given 'artistic freedom' and of an artist who is driven by the artistry of making good country music.'
As a new, aggressive independent label, we do not underestimate the value of the international audience for our artists. We embrace it' says Shelia Shipley Biddy, Vivaton's Executive VP of National Promotion and Artist Development.
'We are extremely proud of Mark's success internationally. European fans have long appreciated and valued traditional Country music. They're zeal and acceptance of the new music from Mark Chesnutt is evidence of that. Andreas Graban and the staff of AGR Television Music have made him a priority and it shows in the acknowledgements and accolades Mark has enjoyed in the past few months.
We are proud to have them as an extension of the Nashville Vivaton family.'
