Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals will take the stage for its 48th annual summer concert series. Tickets are on sale April 11 at 10a.m. PDT for one of the wine, food and music event highlights of summer in Napa Valley.
Kicking off the series on July 1, soul musician Allen Stone will open for headliner Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, an alternative rock singer/songwriter. The winery's annual fireworks display will top off the evening. The iconic soul vocalist and multi-GRAMMY award-winner Patti LaBelle will perform on July 8. Jamestown Revival will warm up the stage for the seven-piece American rock band with New Orleans roots, The Revivalists, who will bring their unique mix of danceable rock and soulful songs to the stage on July 15.
Michael Franti & Spearhead will perform on July 22, serving up their signature mix of hip hop, funk, jazz, folk, and rock. Closing out the series on July 29 is multi-GRAMMY award-winner
Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, known for their eclectic mix of blues, folk, soul, reggae and rock.
In addition to the musical performances, guests can enjoy food from Napa Valley's Oxbow Public Market. Featured vendors will include C Casa, Five Dot Ranch and more! Vintage Sweet Shoppe and Ben & Jerry's will be participating to add a sweet finish to the evening's culinary offerings. Wine will also be available for purchase.
A much-anticipated annual wine country event, the summer concert series was first established by Margrit Mondavi in 1969. With Mrs. Mondavi's passing in
September 2016, the winery has renamed the series the "Margrit Mondavi Summer Concert Series" to honor her commitment to music in the Napa Valley. In its 48-year history, the series has raised millions to support a number of Napa Valley-based charitable music organizations. In keeping with this tradition, Robert Mondavi Winery will donate proceeds from this year's ticket sales to directly benefit the Napa Valley Unified School District's music programs.
Tickets are on sale April 11 at 10 a.m. PDT and prices vary by performance.
