NEW YORK (KOCH Records) - KOCH Records, HED p.e. and WWW.HEDROCKS.COM are teaming up and looking for YOUR help. HED has decided to enlist the help of its fans in choosing the song they'd best like to see as the first video from their forthcoming album, "Only In Amerika."

By logging onto the 411 section on www.hedrocks.com now, fans can listen to streams of 4 songs hand-picked by the band and immediately vote on their favorite. The songs will remain posted throughout the week of 1/20/05. The winning song will officially become the band's first video from the forthcoming new disc. The video will be shot in Los Angeles later this month.

The union between HED p.e. and KOCH RECORDS is one that fits like a glove...and it made perfect sense. Concurs Jahred, "I'm excited because I have the artistic freedom to do and say whatever the f*** I want. This upcoming release is the most hardcore one, cuz I don't have any guy in a suit and tie, breathing down my neck, telling me what I can and can't say, and how to sing and s***. It's nice to be at a label that supports my vision, and my f****** rights under the first amendment!"

The production on HED's fourth CD "Only In Amerika" was swift and painless, albeit a bit of a budget shock from what the band was accustom to on a major label budget. States Jahred, "The new CD was recorded true punk rock style. The only studio we used was to record the drums. Most of the s*** was recorded in my apartment, but it was cool, cuz we could take our time. The clock wasn't ticking, so we got real creative and s***."

One thing is for certain: The new CD is not for the uptight, serious and easily offended. The lyrical content of the new HED CD makes a whorehouse look like a day in Catholic School. "Only In Amerika" addresses everything from masturbation, underage sex and bondage. Jahred doesn't stop there; he rags on corporate rock, the FCC and censorship.

If "Only In Amerika" sparks controversy, so be it; Jahred welcomes it. "You need to understand that the songs are filled with 'punch lines,' and they're fueled by anger...the s*** can't be taken at face value...it's the difference between missionary and doggy style...get it? Besides, I know the fans'll understand!! Besides, I think people need extreme music to wake them up to all the corporate bullshit that is being shoved down everybody's throat - and that is what this album is all about!!"

Formerly signed to JIVE Records and described by Rolling Stone as "the one rare metal act willing to admit that good times actually exist," the Los Angeles-based group has sold over 700,000 albums since the release of their first EP in 1995. The band has toured with some of the biggest acts in music including Metallica, Slayer, Korn, The Deftones, Linkin Park, P.O.D., Slipknot and many more.
