Liverpool Music Week 2017 Tickets On Sale Now - Best Metropolitan Festival (UK Festival Awards)
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Liverpool Music Week are extremely pleased to announce that their 2017 Early Bird Wristband Tickets are now on sale for just £20 exclusively at www.liverpoolmusicweek.com

Celebrating the 15 year anniversary of the week-long festivities, the organisers are pleased to reveal that LMW17 will start on 27th October 2017 and will once again be utilising Liverpool's ever-growing arsenal of venues as well as some of its lesser-known hidden gems and secret spaces.

Liverpool Music Week was recently crowned Best Metropolitan Festival at the UK Festival Awards 2016, following a stellar week of performances from the likes of John Carpenter, War Paint, Dinosaur Jr and more that shone a spotlight on some of the city's most unique live music spaces, once again proving that there's something special happening on the banks of the River Mersey and bringing national attention to this bustling hub of creativity.

Commenting on the win, festival organiser Mike Deane said: "We were absolutely thrilled and honoured to be crowned Best UK Metropolitan Festival at this year's Festival Awards, pipping some of the best names in the music industry. It's a fantastic recognition for our small team who put in such hard work year after year, and for everyone else involved in the 2016 event, particularly the awesome artists & venues that we have right now in Liverpool. Liverpool Music Week is, and always has been, a very collective effort and we are very proud to bring home such a great accolade for the city.

"It's great to see our friends Creamfields, Sound City and Positive Vibrations pick up various key awards too. Liverpool is buzzing right now and it's inspiring and fitting to see the city sweep the board at this year's ceremony. Roll on 2017!"

Drawing thousands of music fans together for a celebration of Liverpool's vibrant and ever-changing music scene, the festival also showcased triumphant sold-out headline shows from home-grown talent including Clean Cut Kid, Louis Berry and She Drew The Gun.

Elsewhere, returning once more with their Breaking Out series, DIY took the opportunity to bring some of the hottest breaking bands to the city with The Big Moon, Amber Arcades and Let's Eat Grandma all cutting their teeth at the festival.

Culminating in the enormous annual closing party - always the perfect place to find the germinating seeds of Liverpool's Next Big Thing - it's safe to say that the 2016 leg was packed with the kind of one-off shows that go down in local legend. Here's to a few more in 2017.
