NEW YORK (Lava Records) - The TSO phenomenon continues to captivate the holiday season, as evident by the group's highly successful 2004 national concert tour and a strong presence on the Billboard Album Charts. The band's holiday tour hit over 80 markets and was seen by over 516,000 people, up from 380,000 last year. TSO also graced fans with their first new album in four years, The Lost Christmas Eve (Lava), which was certified gold after six weeks in stores.
A stellar collection of 23 new tracks, the album was a stronghold in the Top 50 of the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart for six consecutive weeks, peaking at No 26. The Lost Christmas Eve also spent ten straight weeks in the Top 5 of the Seasonal Chart and held the No 1 spot for one week. These achievements further reaffirm Trans-Siberian Orchestra's place as an American holiday institution.

The band's past two holiday releases also brought in impressive numbers in 2004. The RIAA Certified Double Platinum Christmas Eve & Other Stories (Lava) sold another 251k, bringing total album scans to 1,951,000. The album spent seven weeks in the Top 10 of the Seasonal Chart and six weeks in the Top 5 of the Catalog Chart, hitting No 1 for two straight weeks. Finally, it spent nine consecutive weeks at No 1 on the Christian Catalog Chart.
The band's second holiday album, The Christmas Attic (Lava), was certified platinum and sold another 154k last year, bringing total scans close to 1 million. The album also maintained a significant presence on the Seasonal, Catalog and Christian Catalog Charts.
In addition to The Lost Christmas Eve, TSO released the Christmas Trilogy Box Set (Lava)in the fall of 2004. Along with the 3 holiday albums, the set includes the Platinum DVD Ghost of Christmas Eve (Lava), which achieved its highest sales yet last year.

With its timeless message, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra has become an essential amongst music lovers during the Christmas season. 2004 marked the band's sixth consecutive year of touring. In addition to their second annual appearance on ABC's Good Morning America, for the third consecutive year, PBS broadcasted the group's holiday TV special The Ghosts of Christmas Eve, which co-stars Ossie Davis, Jewel and Michael Crawford. Year after year, the sounds of TSO dominate radio airwaves, increasing from 15k spins in 2003 to 20k spins in 2004. Look out for a new non-holiday album from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in 2006.
