Desert Mountain Tribe Unveil New Single 'Take A Ride'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) London-based psych-rock trio Desert Mountain Tribe flash back onto the scene with 'Take A Ride', set for release on 9th December via Membran Entertainment Group.

'Take A Ride' is the third single from their recently released debut album, 'Either That Or The Moon', which was nominated for Drowned In Sound's coveted Neptune Music Prize, and firmly cemented Desert Mountain Tribe as a band to watch. Drawing comparisons with Kasabian and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the band's unique sound has been described by Classic Rock as 'darkly woozy, garage rock'n'roll' when they made 'Runway' their 'Track Of The Week' in the run-up to Christmas last year.

The cosmopolitan trio sees Jonty Balls from South London on guitar and vocals, whilst the rhythm section is comprised of German brothers Felix and Philipp Jahn, on drums and bass respectively. The three come together to create a seamless wall of sound, effortlessly greater than the sum of its parts. The tight, driving drum beat provide the perfect backdrop to Balls' guitar and lyrics along with the relentless melodically marching bass riff in this fresh recording of 'Take A Ride', described by Drowned In Sound as a 'catchy, driving rock anthem'. Taking one of their most loved pieces of sonically pleasing psych-rock to new heights, this re-recording provides a much needed new dose of what Louder Than War described as 'a monstrous groove machine with some head-fuck guitar and shape-shifting vocals.'

The band have recently notched up memorable live performances on their hugely successful European tour; including sell-out shows in London and Rotterdam and recent stand-out performances at Rockaway Beach and Hackney Wonderland Festival. With their US tour seeing the group support artists like Toy, The Wytches and Damo Suzuki Ringo Deathstarr - the threesome has become a formidable and renowned international live act. Desert Mountain Tribe will play a series of dates across the UK before the end of the year, including headline shows at Sticky Mikes Frog Bar in Brighton, Shrewsbury's Wightman Theatre and the legendary Electrowerkz in Islington.

With early support for the single coming from Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music and a list of past supporters that includes the likes of Drowned In Sound, Louder Than War, Echoes and Dust and Artrocker Magazine to name just a few, this version of the 'Take A Ride' is the most recent in a series of hard hitting releases for the band from Croydon via Cologne when it drops 9th December 2016.
