CHICAGO, IL. (Keenan Baxter PR Team) - The news has just arrived from Joey Welz of Canadian American Records that Keenan Baxter's first single 'Decent' has just made the Top 40 Indie Records worldwide. 'Of all the songs on our single compilation CD, they picked Keenan's song, Decent,' said Joey Weltz.
'We are pleased to have this talented genius on board,' continues Joey. Keenan's "Decent" song is on his '12 Oclock' Album, which is an 100% Electronic DANCE Album. The song really took off in Australia. The song can be heard at www.cdbaby.com/kgbaxter2, song number 3.

Keenan's has four songs produced into radio commercials, 'Where's My Song,' 'Motivation' and 'Space Age', and 'New Insomnia.' When the radio station challenged Keenan to do a DANCE version of Willy Nelson, he had his ideas mapped out in two days. Keenan has interned at the local radios station, making and mixing commercials, which he loves and finds extremely 'easy to do compared to composing.' Dan McWilliams, production director from Radio One Communications, Valparaiso, said 'he is a 'genius..' Valparaiso is located right outside the Chicago area.

'Keenan is truly gifted, many times he counter points his melodies, and in one of his latest song he even uses four counterpoints,' said Bill Thice, from Front Porch Music, Valparaiso, Indiana.
'Most composers don't develop counter pointing until later on if at all, but Keenan just does it without knowing it,' continued Bill.

For those of you in the music business, you would be happy to know that Keenan creates his own melodies and harmonies note by note and DOES NOT use the 'over-the-counter' music loops readily available, And, he also does his own mastering and editing.

Keenan likes Hip Hop, Rap, DANCE, Techno, and House and his instrumentals combine elements of them all. His biggest musical influence has been the music on video games, and that is why his sounds appeals to a younger audience, but the older audience like his more mellow music as well.

Keenan is co-writing a CD with renown musician, Richard Fammaree from Chicago, where Keenan has re-mixed some of Richard's ballads and folk music into updated DANCE tracks. Keenan also had combines his DANCE tracks with Richard's live guitar and vocals.

Keenan has appeared on TV on the Michigan City Public TV several times at the Michigan City, Indiana Library. The local newspapers have featured Keenan in the Weekend Section of the News Dispatch, The Times and the Post Tribune. He performed with Richard Fammaree at the Pierogi Fest 2004 in Whiting, Indiana, where 25% of the audience BOUGHT HIS CD! He performs once a month at N.E.W in NWI Indiana, and R.A.W. in Chicago.

Keenan Baxter started creating songs five years ago when he was 15 years old. Since all of his songs are created on a computer, the recording quality is digitally input, with no imperfections or worries about recording quality. His songs have many layers of instruments sometimes with several sub-harmonies and over 18 - 24 tracks. He has created anywhere from drum solos to Asian style songs.
Keenan started these songs just out of pure enjoyment and only to satisfy his own creativity.
After being discovered by a local talent search from Chicago, Richard Fammeree, Keenan was encouraged to cut his first CD. His sounds are upbeat DANCE/techno format, easy to listen to but with a little edge. His songs also take you to several plateaus with various instruments added and taken away along the way. His latest adult contemporary song has 14 percussion tracks, he has been compard to Manheim Steamroller and also Yanni.

"We really think Keenan's has a shot at getting a major label to pick him up," stated Joey Wetltz. Keenan Baxter website is www.keenanbaxter.com, and more of his music can be heard at
