LOS ANGELES (JVS & ASSOCIATES CONSULTING/ www.urbanmusiqgroup.com) - After a one-year stint serving the United States in the desert of Omhan, just south of Baghdad following the 9/11 attacks and being stationed in the icy terrain of Alaska's Elmendorf AFB, New Jersey's own airman Bobby Cheeks is finally preparing to realize his dream.

Still active in the United States Air Force and with the blessings of his commanding officers and the United States Military, the bourgeoning rap star will break barriers between the country's soldiers and the street's soldiers during his first tour promoting his debut album 'A Soldier's Story'.

'He has a great story- a young kid from the hood serving his country and still fighting to achieve his own dream through music. The press has been very good to the Bobby Cheeks project with network news, B.E.T., and major print coverage throughout the country from newspapers to major magazines. UMG, however, is more proud of the artist himself. He has a flow that kills and is truly a lyricist. He's bound to bring the purity back to hip-hop without the need for 'gangsterism' or 'bling bling' notes Yolanda Walker-Enis, Executive Vice President of the Lightyear/WEA distributed label Urban Musiq Group.

The tour begins on January 8, 2005 in Anchorage, Alaska and is surrounded by media coverage including a two-part series on the NBC Affiliate, KTUU-TV, and a pre-concert interview on the No 1 rated morning radio station in the city, WKGOT and in store appearances in each city.
Airman Cheeks' second stop on January 21, 2005 is in his old stomping ground of Hampton, Virginia where he will perform for one of his most loyal pockets of fans at the Langley Air Force Base.
The final stop on the first leg of the concert's military tour is in his home state of New Jersey. Hosted by the McGuire Air Force Base, an unusual treat y has been made between McGuire and Ft. Dix Army Base for the January 22, 2005 performance so that Bobby Cheeks can capitalize on the proximity of the two military campuses.
