DETROIT, MI. (Kemistry Records/ Universal/Motown Records) - Universal/Motown will shoot the very first bona fide music video for R&B singer KEM during his upcoming concert on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at the Detroit Opera House. The music video will feature the first new single, "I Can't Stop Loving You," from KEM's sophomore project, "KEM Album II."
The new CD is scheduled for release in March 2005; however, the first single will hit air waves shortly after the New Year. The video shoot will include behind the scene concert preparations as well as live footage of his performance and the Detroit audience.

"When Universal/Motown started discussing the production of a video, my team and I immediately suggested the Detroit concert as the location. We are proud of our hometown and its ensuing comeback," said KEM.
"Most people, especially outside of Michigan, are not aware of all the new developments downtown or many of Detroit's long-standing treasures, such as the Detroit Opera House. So we take every chance to bring positive exposure to Detroit and utilize its people to work on our projects."

The concert "An Intimate Evening of New Music with KEM" is co-produced by Project Producers, LLC and Kemistry Records. The owners Toya Hankins and KEM, respectively, both loyal Detroiters who have been teamed up for more than 10 years, use their accomplishments to purposely create opportunities that impact the city of Detroit and its surrounding communities by creating job opportunities; highlighting Detroit's venues; and giving back to community organizations.
Detroit area vendors include his Band consisting of all Detroit Musicians: Dave McMurray (sax), Marlon Curry (percussion), Brian Oneal (keyboard), Quentin Baxter (guitar), Al Turner (bass), and Ron Otis (drums); Manager Toya Hankins for Project Producers; Carlos Gunn for Master Piece Sound, a Detroit-based recording studio; Sound Engineer Jim Gibbons for Audio Video Services Live Show; Photographer Cybelle Codish for Negative Space Photography; and Graphic Artist Stephanie Carr of Stephanie Carr Designs for all promotional materials and CD covers.
He recently hosted his Gold Record Presentation/Party at Ford Field and he held his release party for his debut CD, Kemistry, at Majestic Theater. The Detroit Opera House will host the upcoming concert and be showcased in the video which is sure to reach millions of viewers.

Detroit audiences will be among the first to experience KEM's new show with all new music at the Detroit Opera House on December 29th at 8 p.m. The concert will feature music from his upcoming album, "KEM Album II" with a mixture of Gold-Record selling hits from Kemistry. The evening's opening acts include Conya Doss and Detroiter Suai.
Continuing his support of Detroit and its surrounding communities, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Detroit Rescue Mission, Highland Park Development Corporation, The Aneurysm Genetic Study Group at Wayne State University, and African Americans and Allies Against Domestic Violence.
Ticket prices range from Balcony $45 to VIP $125, which includes admission to a VIP Meet & Greet Reception prior to the concert.
Tickets are available through the Detroit Opera House Box Office and Ticketmaster Outlets or by phone at (248) 645-6666.
