New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The rootsy rock n' roll band Not A Planet will be releasing their new EP Smoke Bombs & Cigarettes: The History of Now on Sept. 9th, but I wanted to send you an advance stream and download to check out early. The Kansas City group is led by Nathan Corsi, who was a co-star in the 2011 documentary Busking the System, a film about his life as a busker in New York. Corsi's smooth vocals respond well to the jangly, old-timey guitar on the tracks and their brand of east coast indie meets 60's pop is something for fans of The Wild Feathers, Jack White and Catfish & The Bottlemen.
