A First! Broadway Tour Stops on Our Stage
Holidays are always a special time, but especially this year as Midland Center for the Arts welcomes for the first time ever! a nationally touring Broadway show: Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical*, opening its 2016 tour on our stage November 18 19.

The following weekend, we welcome America's favorite holiday tradition and Grammy Award winner MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER CHRISTMAS by Chip Davis. In December, enjoy the perfect balance of classical zest and pop culture's best when Cirque de la Symphonie joins the Midland Symphony Orchestra for a unique and elegant fusion of aerial flyers and acrobats choreographed to the holiday's best traditional and popular music.

The broad slate of professional programming includes the ultimate mash-up of classical and pop The Piano Guys in September, international percussion sensation STOMP in November, and a February performance by modern dance troupe Pilobolus.

More Family Programs: Kids Just Want to Have Fun!
This season's lineup includes more family-focused events, including PBS favorite Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Live!, Eric Carle's treasured tale Brown Bear, Brown Bear, and the fantastic puppetry of Erth's Dinosaur Zoo Live.

Award-Winning Community Theatre and Choirs
The region's own volunteers take the stage for unforgettable performances including Tony Award winner The Drowsy Chaperone; the world-premiere of an original, locally-sourced drama "Hometown" ~ Anonymous; Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night; and a March 2017 production of Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
