NEW YORK (JaThom Records / The JaThom Family Distribution Group) - With his knowledge of the roots of the game, Count Coolout has worked non-stop through sleepless days and nights to conceive a platform in which all independent artists and labels may acquire all the tools necessary to bring their projects to the forefront.

The Count first exploded on the music scene in 1979 as a background vocalist and dancer for Jimmy "Super Rhymes" Spicer. He then went on to record solo with several early rap hits, including "Rhythm Rap Rock" and the rap world's first live recording "Touch The Rock."

After a successful career in accounting and real estate, The count has returned to his first love - for the better of us all. In his own words, Count states "isn't it ironic that we have people on the front line in Iraq fighting for freedom, justice, liberty and equality - meanwhile back here in the states - you can't even get your record on the radio - or your video on the television."
In fact, when you look at how the music business is structured today--the independent does not stand a chance.

Now with the forming of JaThom Records and The JaThom Family Distribution Group, The Count is steadily removing all the barriers that which have prevented independents from getting the exposure that they deserve.
Through his world wide connections and world wide distribution deal, Count Coolout is sending the entire music industry back to the drawing board. If you are an independent artist or label this might just be a blessing in disguise. One thing for sure, be it rapping, producing or writing, whatever Count Coolout is involved in - it is sure to be innovative, entertaining and successful. 2005 belongs to The JaThom Family.
