New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Hong Kong Asian-Pop
Music Festival 2016 organised by IFPI (HKG) Ltd, at its 6th years of running was held successfully on 18th March, 2016 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Eight countries/regions in Asia, namely the Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the host city Hong Kong sent their artistes to take part in the HKAMF Asian
Supernova Competition. The cream performers of pop music from the 8 participating countries/territories also flew in to perform at the show.
A special feature of this year, two past Super Nova winners, J. Arie of Hong Kong (2014) and GILLE of Japan (2015) were invited to return to the stage of HKAMF2016 to sparkle a new musical experience.
This year the winners of each award were:
Gentle Bones from Singapore took the HKAMF 2016 Asian
Supernova Award, the HKAMF 2016 Best Stage Performance Award went to LU:KUS from South Korea.
Nicole from Malaysia took the HKAMF 2016 Best Vocal Performance Award and the "LeMusic Viewers' Top Pick" award. We would like to congratulate and thank all artistes for their extraordinary performance at HKAMF2016.
