NEW YORK (Hollywood Records) - With their debut album Sunlight Makes Me Paranoid re-released last month by Hollywood Records, one of NYC's hippest new bands Elefant are closing out 2004 with a headlining show at the Bowery Ballroom on Monday, December 20th. The year-end celebration caps off a momentous year for the musically adept quartet. After selling more than 30,000 units on the respected independent label, Kemado, Elefant drew the attention of every major label in the business, prompting Kemado to sign a distribution deal with Hollywood Records this summer. Now, with more than 30 Modern Rock radio stations playing the band's single, "Misfit," a brand new Robert Hales-directed video (Jet, Switchfoot, The Donnas) in the final editing stages, a television performance scheduled for January 21st on Jimmy Kimmel Live and a spate of dates opening for Jimmy Eat World in January 2005, things look rosy for Elefant. As Blender said, "Elefant's debut is so strong, you may find yourself shouting its praises from a rooftop." As a live band, Elefant is not to be missed. Check out this special performance.
