Vinyl & Shoegaze News From Seattle's Dirty Sidewalks - Debut 7” Vinyl (March) And Full-length (Summer) Release Confirmed!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Seattle-based indie shoegazers Dirty Sidewalks (https://www.dirtysidewalks.com) announced today they will be releasing both a debut 7 vinyl single and a full-length album in 2016. To be released on the band's own No-Count Records, the debut 7 single -- available in both white and black vinyl -- is set for March 11th and will be followed by their first full-length album Bring Down The House Lights, currently scheduled for a Summer release.

The 7 vinyl A-side of "It's Getting Better" has tenacious pop hooks and the B-side Hey Girl (I Wanna Be Your Man) is full of youthful Velvet Underground charm. Both songs give a stylistic preview of whats to come with the band's debut full-length. A new video for "Hey Girl (I Wanna Be Your Man) will also be available coinciding with the 7" single release and will be directed by Sidewalks front man Erik Foster.

Dirty Sidewalks were formed in 2010 by singer/guitarist Erik Foster, his brother and lead guitarist Evan Foster (also founder of Surf Garage rockers The Boss Martians), and longtime friend and bassist Evan ONeil. The band plays anthemic tunes informed equally by 80s college rock, 90s Britpop and 60s pop harmonies. Dirty Sidewalks take sonic cues from (among others) the fuzzy haze of The Jesus and Mary Chain, the massive guitar-wall of early Oasis and the neo-psychedelic jangle of The Dandy Warhols. Bolstered sonically by Evan Fosters crisp, punchy production and by Erik Fosters sharp songwriting and visual talents (see the band's videos), Dirty Sidewalks have been receiving rave reviews from press outlets such as MAGNET Magazine, AXS, and Artist Direct.

In May 2015, Dirty Sidewalks released their debut single Its Getting Better in digital format on Los Angeles-based label MuSick Recordings. In December 2015, the band offered a free download of their original holiday season bummer ballad Its Xmas (And Everyone Is Miserable) via Soundcloud to much yuletide acclaim. Recently, theyve been called everything from vintage alt-rock/noise-pop to darkly jubilant. Live, the band has supported a diverse range of acts including Har Mar Superstar, Moving Units, The Mono Men, and The Young Fresh Fellows.
