Is Singer-Songwriter Patrick Ballantyne Venturing Into A Third Career?
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Patrick Ballantyne is well established as a lawyer and songwriter. With cuts on over 10 albums and 2 solo albums, it is evident he balances the discipline of law with the creativity of songwriting while swimming in both career streams. Would he want to add another career to the mix? Last year's album "Days of Rain" and the final installment in his sardonically titled "Hit a Month" Project 25 Feet of Snow, may suggest meteorologist is on his mind. However, Patrick says, "weather is ubiquitous. It just so happens I ended this year with a weather theme."

The hit a month singles have ranged in style from folk to country, the final installment is a return to classic rock. Referencing the vibes of The Guess Who and Cream, Patrick says, "25 Feet of Snow is a seemingly insurmountable obstacle, the presence of which is beyond our control. But just like there 'aint no moutain high enough, ain't no valley low enough', we must be determined to keep moving toward our goals."

As with three other singles in the series, roots duo The Oh Chays lend their talents to 25 Feet of Snow, but Mark Plancke, who usually remains behind the control board at Sharktank Studios in Windsor, also makes a special vocal appearance. The end of the Hit a Month project is bitter sweet for Patrick. He says, "It has been a great way to collaborate with artists like The Oh Chays and get my songs to a wider audience, but it has also distracted me. I think next year the focus will be off of me and unto other artists that I am privileged to work with ."

25 Feet of Snow will be available on iTunes and through Northwood Records' Store on Nov 26, 2015.
