DETROIT (AP) - An open casting call is taking place in Detroit this weekend for hometown rap hero Eminem's autobiographical movie, which is expected to start filming this fall. The call takes place Saturday and Sunday (September 29 and 30) at the Detroit Academy Of Arts & Sciences, and producers are looking for "men and women, ages 18+" for a film that they say will be "set in the 1995 Detroit hip-hop scene." All ethnicities are welcome, but the notice says they're primarily seeking African-Americans and "young hip-hop club kids who can dance, factory workers, truckers, and drivers with pre-1995 working class vehicles." Also on the list is "a rag-a-muffin Caucasian girl (5 to a small 8 years old), serious, with soulful eyes." Hopefuls are asked to be available from October through December. Those interested can call (313) 438-6086 or send a photo to Untitled Detroit Project Casting, 3430 East Jefferson, Detroit, Michigan 48207.
