New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Charlotte-based indie pop/rock trio Millennial (Millennial
Music Group) will celebrate the release of its debut national recording project entitled DREAMERS* produced by the notable
Brandon Metcalf (Jewel/Blues Traveler/ Secondhand Serenade/Elenowen) and recorded at
Destiny Nashville.
In early celebration, and as a special "thank you" to fans, the "New & Notable" Millennial will offer up DREAMERS as a FREE gift via Noisetrade exclusively beginning Thursday, November 5, 2015. The EP will be released, as official, via all digital retail outlets (iTunes/Amazon/Rhapsody) on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
Millennial is a group of guys who, true to their Generation Y character, have begun to forge their path with confident, self-expressive, liberal, upbeat music that is created with the notion to "make a change." A diverse generation of singer/ songwriters and musicians reigning from Charlotte, NC, Rodney Eldridge (lead vocals), Logan Fincher (lead guitarist) and Jon Hussey (drums) formed a mutual bond derived from their passion for creative musical expression.
The storylines and melodies featured in DREAMERS run in similar vein with the contemporary work product of alt/rock/pop groups One Republic, The
Killers and Moon Taxi, and are a 70s flashback to Elton John's visionary penmanship infused by a psychedelic space reminiscent of Pink Floyd. The compilation of songs inspires the listener to "dare to dream."
The five-song EP highlights Millennial's hit single "
Paralyzed" (released March 2015), a fast-forward emotion driven by a drum heartbeat (which is also scheduled to appear in the Hallmark film "The Ultimate Legacy" scheduled to air in 2016), and the modern day "
Candle In The Wind" love song entitled "Don't Go."
"This has been a long time coming," notes Millennial lead singer Rodney Eldridge. "We are excited to share our music, and message, with the world. We have our own style and sound to bring to the table and while our delivery is a bit abstract, our message is clear. Our goal is to inspire our fans to throw fear into the wind and take the leap to follow their dreams."
DREAMERS was recorded in early 2015, but the band experienced a halting setback when lead guitarist, Logan Fincher, suffered from a brain aneurysm that could have left him paralyzed.
"The FREE offer is in celebration of Logan's recovery and to share our gratitude for the overwhelming and continuous support we received from our fans. Logan's recovery, and his expressed faith, reinforced our goal to give back and this is just a start," Jon Hussey added.
Millennial is in full force to resume—to pick up right where they left off. Just a little more than a year after the band was established, Millennial has already played a number of notable venues in the Southeast (Visualite Theater, The Evening Muse and Neighborhood Theater to name a few) as well as major festivals such as
Red Gorilla
Music Festival and South By Southwest in Austin, Texas. The band is scheduled to head into the studio to work on its next recording project anticipated in mid-2016.
