New York, NY (Top40 Charts) City Drive Films and MVD Entertainment Group have announced the upcoming November 24th, 2015 Blu-Ray and DVD release of award-winning filmmaker Jehane Noujiam's critically acclaimed film, The Square.

One of the most honored documentaries of 2013, The Square depicts the ongoing Egyptian revolution of 2011 from its roots in Tahrir Square. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 86th Academy Awards. It also won three Emmy Awards at the 66th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, out of four for which it was nominated.

The Square premiered on January 17, 2013 at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award for World Cinema in the documentary category. Due to the ongoing nature of the Egyptian Revolution, Noujaim updated the ending of the film over the summer of 2013. The film was subsequently also named winner of the People's Choice Award in the documentary category at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.

The Film was license to Netflix and was initially released exclusively through them. The new version being released now now has over 90 minutes of exclusive never-before-seen footage and scenes. The exclusive content is a must see for any fan of the Film and really gives another insight to some of the key principals of the Film. The Blu-Ray is in stunning 1080 p HD and has a powerful surround sound audio feature.

"Jehane Noujaim made a masterpiece and risked her life to bring this story to the world. It deserves every award and positive review it has received and it is our honor to help bring this film and new scenes to the home video market just in time for the 5th Anniversary of the revolution".

The Blu-Ray and DVD release of The Square will exclusively include over 90 minutes of new exclusive footage not seen in the theatrical release or on Netflix.
