TORONTO, Canada (www.musicrypt.com) - Toronto based Musicrypt Inc. has joined forces with Warner
Music Canada to deliver key Live Aid tracks to radio. Musicrypt has donated its
Digital Media Distribution
System (DMDS) and its technical staff to extract the audio tracks from the DVD and deliver them efficiently and securely to radio stations all across Canada.
Warner
Music Canada has just released - for the first time ever - DVD footage of the July 15, 1985 concerts that truly changed the world. With proceeds from the sale of this 10-hour, 4-DVD set supporting the
Band Aid Trust for famine relief in Africa, the delivery of these tracks to radio will help make as many people aware of this release as possible.
The first four tracks, Eric Clapton's 'Layla',
David Bowie's 'Heroes', U2's 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' and Queen's 'We Will Rock You' were delivered on Wednesday November 17, 2004.
Steve Coady, Vice President,
Radio Promotion, Warner
Music Canada said: 'We have had a tremendous interest from
Radio for this special project, ranging from airplay to promotional support to Public Service Announcements. Transferring music from DVD to digital files and then delivering them to
Radio seemed, at first, to be a daunting task until our friends at Musicrypt offered their technical expertise and facilities – at no cost I might add'.
Peter Diemer, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Musicrypt, Inc. said: 'It is an honour and privilege to be involved with Live Aid in this manner. We're extremely pleased that Warner
Music Canada has entrusted Musicrypt to securely and safely deliver the music from Live Aid to media destinations across Canada'.
Wojtek Hoch, Vice President Technology of Musicrypt, said: 'We were happy to have the opportunity to contribute to this worthy cause and provide technical assistance to prepare these classic live-recorded tracks from the DVD for distribution to radio'.

Digital Media Distribution
System (DMDS) is the leading secure B2B digital delivery solution for the music industry. DMDS is a web-based delivery system that pioneers secure digital file distribution by incorporating biometrics, high-value encryption and watermarking. The first application of DMDS delivers a digital broadcast quality file and replaces the physical distribution of new musical recordings by record companies from the studio, internally, and to radio stations with more secure, more effective and less costly digital distribution via the Internet. Musicrypt trades on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V) in Toronto under the symbol MCT. Visit: www.musicrypt.com
