Jo Tongo Releases New Album "Shine On"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Multifaceted and famed artist/musician Jo Tongo continues to share his love and gift of music with the world through his new highly anticipated album "Shine On". Released on "Tribal Records", the new album mixes a smooth blend of African roots and American sounds & rhythms that his global fans love and have come to expect. From Paris to West Africa to America and everywhere in between, Jo's international appeal can be be heard on "Shine On".

"Shine On is the continuity of the music I've been playing since the latest 60's, including some of the Reggae music that appeared in the 70's but with my own touch", said Jo Tongo.

Also known as "Jojo l'Explosif" (Jojo the Explosive), his fame has allowed him to play for African heads of states like Nyassibwe Eyadema of Togo, Yakubu Gowon of Nigeria, Mobutu Sese Seko of Zaire( Democratic Republic of Congo), Ahmadou Ahidjo of United Republic of Cameroon, Prince Albert II of Monaco, in addition to backing Ky-Mani Marley (one of Bob Marley's sons) and playing with the likes of Manu Dibango, Memphis Slim, Frances Bebey, Bobby Few, Joseph Kabassele, and Franklyn Bokaka.

Some may call the new album a 'world music' but Jo Tongo calls it "Jojo Music".
