Raised in a Sri Lankan immigrant family, Bhiman infuses his new album 'Rhythm & Reason' (out 5/19, BooCoo Records/Thirty Tigers) with an outsider perspective, with songs told from the POV of Black Panther Huey Newton ("Up in Arms") and African expats in Belgium ("Moving to Brussels").
