Fire In The Radio Releasing Series Of "Wes Anderson-Style" Webisodes
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) In anticipation of the May 12 release of Fire in the Radio's new record "Telemetry", the Philly Indie rock band is releasing a series of interconnected "webisodes" featuring new songs off the album. The first episode ("Crickets") premiered at Substream Magazine last month.

Today, the band is premiering its second installment entitled "The Equalizer" at Diffuser.fm. The band explains: "(We) have made a series of short video episodes that depict the dark comedic account of fictional character Donald C., a drummer who is struggling to find a more prominent role in his band (and in life). Each video is soundtracked by one of the songs off 'Telemetry.' The second installment finds Donald C. playing a series of pranks in response to his band being treated poorly by a group of unruly tour mates. With titles like "Alternate Tuning," "I'm a Belieber," "Shock the Monkey," and "Easter Parade," the pranks serve to prove that Donald C. and his band are not to be messed with. When viewed together, the videos serve as a charming, Wes Anderson-style short film.

This Tuesday, May 12th, Fire in the Radio will release "Telemetry" and kick off the following tour dates in support:

May 11 - Young Ones Records, Kutztown, PA (w/ Atlantic Avenue)
May 12 - The Boot and Saddle, Philadelphia, PA (w/ Hound, Three Man Cannon)
May 13 - The Low Beat, Albany, NY (w/ The Orange)
May 14 - Bug Jar, Rochester, NY (w/ Iron Chic)
May 16 - Horseshoe Tavern, Toronto, ON (w/ Knapsack)
May 17 - Pouzza Fest, Montreal, QB (w/ Knapsack)

The tour includes a record release show in Philly at the Boot and Saddle, which Philly Weekly called on of the "Top 10 shows of the week" and a pair of Canadian dates supporting Knapsack, including a performance at this year's annual Pouzza Fest in Montreal.

Work on "Telemetry", which contains eleven tracks, started last year when Fire in the Radio spent time at Inner Ear studios in Washington, DC, with engineer Don Zientara (Fugazi) doing a series of demos. The demos turned into the foundation for a full-length record that was recorded in the summer of 2014 at Miner Street Studios in Philadelphia (The Menzingers, Restorations) with producer Thom Flowers (Lagwagon) and engineer Matt Schimelfenig (Cayetana). The record was mixed by Jesse Gander (Japandroids) at Rain City Recorders in Vancouver, and mastered by Alan Douches in New York. The band, who derives their name from the Charles Bukowski poem "Regard Me," has a unique sound that has been appropriately described as an amalgamation of Jawbreaker, Tigers Jaw, Weezer and Title Fight.

Line-up: Richard Carbone (vocals, guitar), Adam Caldwell (drums), Jon Miller (vocals, guitar) and Ed Olsen (bass).
