James 'Al' Hendrix, Jimi's brother, Leon founded the
James (Jimi) Marshall Hendrix Foundation. Al charged Leon with the responsibility of carrying Jimi's name forward to give back to the community.
As government support for education wanes and the economy stiffens, administrators are making deep cuts in Art and Humanities Education. There seems to be rampant ignorance of the powerful impact art & music education have on IQ, high order thinking and reasoning. This service vacuum creates the need for independent development and funding of supplemental arts and humanities programs for our children.
