Spotify's Ek + Avicii's Pournouri Announce Symposium Stockholm
Stockholm, SWEDEN (Top40 Charts) Ash Pournouri (manager of AVICII, and CEO and founder of At Night Management) and Daniel Ek (CEO and founder of Spotify) today announced the inaugural Symposium Stockholm, to be held from June 8-13, 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Both Stockholm natives and entrepreneurs, Ash and Daniel have recruited the producers of established annual events to join forces for one, simultaneous celebration of music, technology, creativity and innovation in this major entrepreneurial city.

Throughout the week of Symposium, events include the Polar Music Prize, Polar Talks, Denniz Pop Awards, Scandinavian Music Summit, Summerburst Festival and AVICII Fest.
The culminating moment will be the Brilliant Minds Conference on June 11-12, 2015, hosted at Grand Hôtel Stockholm, where the brightest and most influential people in the music and tech industries will attend closed-door forums.

These events will take place alongside numerous planned dinners, receptions, concerts, festivals, showcases and after-parties, providing the opportunity for meeting with thought leaders from around the world.

"Stockholm has long been a hub of innovation and our unique viewpoint has impacted industry, music, technology, and culture. I am excited that we will be able to look at what makes this city the creative capital of the world, and what that means for the future," says Daniel Ek.

Sweden is home to hugely successful and disruptive companies and talent across industries, including: Ericsson (telecom infrastructure); Spotify, Max Martin, and AVICII (music); Skype (voice-over-internet communication); Mojang and King (gaming); IKEA (retail); and H&M (fashion). With Symposium Stockholm, prominent creative peers will be welcomed into the local community that has shaped the world.

· Fact: Sweden has the highest income per capita in the global music business.
· Fact: Alongside Silicon Valley, Stockholm has the most billion-dollar listed companies per capita in the world.
· Fact: The Nordics represent 3% of Europe's population, but 33% of its billion dollar exits.
· Fact: Stockholm has 22,000 tech start-ups in the city limits and a population of just over two million.

"Symposium will show you why Sweden, through its entrepreneurial ecosystem of innovation and creativity, is uniquely positioned to breed tomorrow's success stories, today," says Ash Pournouri. "We are excited to have the top minds in the world come together in our hometown; we expect great ideas and connections to happen."

Select individuals who are leaders in their fields have already received an invitation to the Brilliant Minds Conference. Others are welcome to apply online for the chance to attend beginning April 27, 2015.
