The Sweeps Releases "The Last Dream"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) German Northern lights and Italo Disco lovers The Sweeps made us fall in love again with one of their sweetest tunes, "The Last Dream", a melancholic Italo-esque Synth-Pop song that just has dropped through a wormhole from 1984 into 2015.
It was originally, back then, meant to become the second Valerie Dore single, but a time jumper stole the original production from the production team and kept it in the middle of no time and space until recently when he left it in Hamburg with the Sweeps guys.
Valerie Dore released "Get Closer" which was another big hit after "The Night" so we tried to get her ok in the recent months, and here we go..."Memories, memories, aha, of love"...in the Sweeps version. What a beautiful song! As usual, some classy artists fell in love wi th it as well and enhanced the original's beauty: Copycat made a Patrick Cowley-esque high energy anthem for new romantic dancefloors, Irregular Disco Workers deliver a synth-wave-ish Dub with cosmic percussions and spaced out synths, David Garcet adds some Kylie Minogue "Can't get you outta my head"-verve to the synths and groove (Play loud!!!).
Statickman even drives further down the boot to Rimini and delivers a pumpin' 1985-Discomagic-style remix while Italo-Disco-God Flemming Dalum and his mate Steen Gjerulff keep the 1984 original more or less in its raw state and here and there even use the Valerie Dore "The Night" reference in a tiny synth melody....heartache, heartache, ahaaa, so niceee! Finally the deep and driving Occams Laser mix is perfect for your local disco club laser show at midnight and your drive back home just before the sun comes up. Hard to make a better Italo track, hard to make better remixe s. Lovely.
