New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Hades Awaits is a mystical Western by writer/director Nathan Hill. This will be the third feature film produced by Armored Vision out of Arizona. This current film, Hades Awaits, is a Western with classic elements and a shade of allegorical sub-text. One of the many unique qualities is the White Mountain Apache storyline, where a traitorous scout, Nali, played by Larry Yazzie, takes refuge far from his tribesman in the Superstition Mountains. A band of his brother and sister warriors are sent out to hunt him down. Nali eventually intersects with the lead role of The Gambler played by Michael Alvarez whose character wakes up lost in the desert after a night of drunken misfortune. As he tracks for his lost horse, Balios, a torn saddlebag leaves mementos scattered along the desert. Each item reminds him of his past, good and evil. Deep in his past is unfinished business with The Gun of Hades who has just escaped from a Yuma Prison and are hot on his trail.
Rich in characters, Hades Awaits has assembled some diverse talent but is in need of the right fit for the role of Hades. "Hades is a charismatic spirit and will require that perfect fit", says producer Keith Wilson. Who will it be?
Hades Awaits an Armored Vision film has embarked on a fund-raising campaign to generate funds. "I think once people get to know us they will see folks like themselves who just want to tell a heartfelt story, and the only way that can happen is by help from our fellow film lover," says producer, Keith Wilson.
Director Nathan Hill is optimistic despite the slow beginning. "Once people get to know us and what we are about, they will see that we can take $250k and make it look like a 5 million dollar movie. Our only hurdle is the funds. The plan is to combine forces with the viewer and they in turn become a producer of the picture alongside us."
