Rapper Young Ent Releases New Single 'K.m.a.n.'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rapper and songwriter of hip hop Young Ent has released his latest single, "K.m.a.n." The track has been proudly published on the Dirty M!d Entertainment independent music label entirely without interference or adulteration from the corporate music industry. Filled with beats, wit, and an endless supply of bass, "K.m.a.n." is a hip-hop track unlike any other and kicks off Q2 2015 with a steady stream of boom-bap.

Young Ent has cited as main artistic influences Scarface, DMX, Tupac Shakur, the Notorious B.I.G., TI, and TRE. His own sound blends the music of each with a mix of beats that is all his own, finished off with the lyrics and delivery which form the most prominent aspects of his character. His "United We Stand" single, which appeared in January 2015 and was presented by Fight...Win...Survive, turned heads around the hip-hop world and continues to rack up listens and downloads well into its third month live online.

Speaking of the themes of his music, Young Ent himself writes, "[I aim] to be fun with music. Everything isn't as it seems. Good music does a lot of things. So I wanted to test my creativity and come up with something catchy, edgy but cool. It's all about getting your attention first. And once I have that, I can then lead you on my journey… And be a voice to our kids in the near future."

Young Ent was raised in East Saint Louis, IL, where he writes that he was surrounded at all times by music.

"I was raised in the church, where I was around music all my life. I wanted to play basketball and go to the pros … I never knew I was supposed to be an entertainer. Then I got shot June 29th, 2003. I was in the hospital for 12 days and I was only 20 yrs of age. Around that time I was promoting for an artist by the name of Tu Tu G, and he inspired me to write my thoughts down on paper cause he said anybody can do it."

Young Ent's music career moved onward and upward, accelerating to a mad dash when he relocated to the hip-hop hotbed of Atlanta, GA.

"I moved from Minneapolis," he says of this, "to pursue my dreams of not only being an entertainer, but also telling my life story, being a role model for kids and to be a voice for our streets."

In time, Young Ent did more than make music and accomplish the first of his many goals. He started his own label, Dirty M!d Ent., with co- CEO Gatorbred Shawty.

"I've been writing and doing my own music for eight years now," writes Young Ent. "I have been blessed to have a second chance at life but never did I think I was supposed to be in the limelight. It's about my kids, and representing for those in the struggle, like me."
"K.m.a.n." by Young Ent is available online worldwide.
