Vijay Iyer Trio's "Most Compelling So Far" (Downbeat): 'Break Stuff,' "A Dizzying Pinnacle Of Contemporary Jazz" (Gaurdian), Out Today ECM
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, the Vijay Iyer Trio released their latest album, 'Break Stuff,' on ECM Records, and, despite their long-standing critical success, The New York Times calls it the trio's "best record" and The Guardian calls it "a dizzying pinnacle of contemporary jazz." Downbeat, in a 5 out of 5 star review, says: "Positioning, flow, calibration, order - each is keenly considered here, and each helps make this the trio's most compelling so far."

The trio -- Vijay Iyer (piano), Stephan Crump (bass) and Marcus Gilmore (drums) -- will be supporting 'Break Stuff' with tour dates through the spring, including a special NYC release concert at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Temple of Dendur on March 7. Dates below.
