New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Vlad Panov aka V-LAD is a New York-based singer and multi-instrumentalist.
A "young man with an old soul", Vlad is a big admirer of funk and soul music from the 1970s, and his newest album confirms that.
The album, titled "Soul Brotha" was released on December 3rd and it has plenty of grooves to fill a dance floor.
Vlad claims that he played most of the instruments on the album, alongside a three-piece horn section and session drummer Clarence " Heartbeat" Clarke.
The music on the album was heavily inspired by James Brown, mirroring various stages of his career.
Some of the highlights include "Rope-A-Dope", which is an ode to Muhammad Ali and the eight-minute disco-funk workout "Message To The People", which juxtaposes the lyrics about troubles of the modern world with an upbeat organ solo and a thick bass line.
Vlad is currently performing with his Funk-Rock band BioFeedBack and is planning to put together a special show in January, where the album would be played live in it's entirety.
