Annie Clark, who just earned her first GRAMMY nomination, for her self-titled album, (Loma Vista) in the Best Alternative
Music Album category.
This caps a break-out year for Clark. 'St Vincent' (Loma Vista) was named the #1 Album of the Year by Entertainment Weekly and NME, and placed in the top 5 on year-end lists from Time Magazine and Rolling Stone, which called the album "a coronation: a masterful set of skewed but sticky pop hooks, subtly sexy electro-funk and Dada poetry that aches for real." Likewise, NPR said St. Vincent's live show was "the best of the year," adding "nothing even came close." Earlier in 2014,

Nirvana at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on HBO and the season finale of Saturday Night Live.
