New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Following its successful World Premiere at Screamfest, Vision Films will be showcasing Robert Hall's horror film "Fear Clinic", starring the indelible Robert Englund, as well as up-and-coming stars
Thomas Dekker and Fiona Dourif, at the American Film Market.
The film tells a story about five young people, each with an incurable phobia, who venture to the Fear Clinic for treatment in the Fear Chamber - an otherworldly machine used to animate their fears, operated by an infamous, and somewhat demented, doctor. Unbeknownst to the group, the doctor has been infected by a supernatural entity that grows stronger with each fear.
"What I love most about this frightening film is that it works on two levels," says Lise Romanoff, Managing
Director / CEO of Vision Films. "It's a highly stylized, commercial horror film that taps into the subconscious, but it's also a poignant parable, an allegory on gathering the courage to face your demons."
The Fear Chamber itself - a fantastic creation from the make-up and SFX production team that brought us "Thor", "Spider-Man 2" and "
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" - will be displayed at Visions booth at the Loews Hotel, 8th Floor Atrium, Las Flores Suite. Vision will also be screening the film on Thursday, November 6th at 11:00 AM at the Fairmont 3.
Anchor Bay will be releasing the film in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand on February 15th, 2015.
