NEW YORK (Farward Thinking Records/ www.manonearth.com) - Man On Earth, a New York City band who's sound is best described as "an eclectic, introspective, experimental rock spectacle," will officially release its debut CD October 26th with the support of Forward Thinking Records. disposable sounds for the fickle mind, an 11-track CD, will begin to hit record stores, online music sites and radio stations in a national campaign with an innovative twist.

The CD has been several years in the making. It reflects the band's creative growth, particularly its thought, passion and emotion expressed as sound. Mixed by Ken Lewis (Lenny Kravitz, Beastie Boys, Soul Asylum, etc.) and mastered by Alan Douches (Jets to Brazil, Ben Folds Five, Hole, etc.), the CD is a diverse collection of tunes with influences ranging from such artists as Jane's Addiction, to The Verve/Richard Ashcroft, to Prince.

Lckluster, a featured track on the CD, has been receiving play on numerous radio stations and online sites. On garageband.com, over the past two weeks, the song quickly soared to number 28 out of more than 1,000 entries, and received a "Track of the Week" award for the week of October 11th.

Disposable sounds for the fickle mind is being distributed by Forward Thinking Records to retailers such as Virgin Megastores and Tower Records, online music vendors such as Amazon.com, i-tunes and CD Baby, and to college and commercial radio stations. Expectations are high that the CD will track well both in terms of sales and the charts. Beginning this week, more than 450 college radio stations will receive a copy of the CD as it goes for adds on October 18th.

In an innovative twist, Forward Thinking Records is offering radio stations and man on earth street team members the opportunity to earn money from sales of the CD. They can sign on with Forward Thinking Records simply by adding a link on their site that will direct customers to a purchasing area, and for each man on earth album sold, receive a percentage of the sale price.
Forward Thinking Records will manage the transaction and distribution of the CD to consumers, thus creating an easy win-win, especially for radio stations seeking additional means to generate revenue to support their own broadcasting and promotion efforts. Forward Thinking Records is already in discussions with several other bands about using this distribution and promotion plan for their CDs.

Man On Earth's launch party for disposable sounds for the fickle mind will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at CB's 313 Gallery (313 Bowery). Man On Earth will be joined by astronaut and The Misery Loves (formerly of New Vintage) for this major event, which begins at 8 PM. man on earth takes the stage at 10 PM, when it will also be debuting a short film about the making of the CD - entry is $7.
