ORANGE COUNTY, NY (Playground Productions/ www.stereotypesrock.com) - Back on the scene after months of intensive recording with NY-famed producer Chris Young, NYC rockers, The Stereotypes, with their rapidly growing fan base in tow will hit the C-Note Saturday, November 6 at 9:00pm.
The Stereotypes are a melodic Rock, lo-fi band based out of New York that melds infectious melodies with harmony that is knocking the underground on their indie-loving butts. With a new EP from Chris Young, NYC's newest boys have finally caught on through the magic of the internet. Networking gurus on myspace.com have spoken and The Stereotypes are finally gaining the exposure that they have worked their rocking butts off to gain and the proverbial buzz is floating through the streets of the east cost and beyond.
The Stereotypes have managed to bring something to the table in a time of homogenization in rock. This is the type of music that only comes from the comfort and synchronicity of a band that has been rocking together since childhood. Led by Luke Lappin,
Morgan Lappin, John Oppelt, Ed Pasquale, and Mike Stock, The Stereotypes are getting under the skin of a new NYC live music scene and should not be missed. Most members, being multi-instrumentalists write the lineup in a collaborative effort, switching up instruments as they see fit which adds a dose of showmanship to the live scene that fans are thirsty for.
