NASA, Honeywell Bring Hip Hop Physics Tour To Los Angeles Schools
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ NASA) NASA and Honeywell are inviting media to participate in the west coast kickoff of the 10th anniversary celebration of their FMA Live! Forces in Motion tour. The tour show will visit three Seattle-area schools during the week of Sept. 15.

The award-winning, action-packed show combines NASA content, hip-hop music, dancers, larger-than-life demonstrations and audience participation in a way that engages middle school students and teaches them the basic principles of physics. The fall tour is making its way down the U.S. west coast and adding to the more than 400,000 students and teachers who are alumni of the FMA Live! experience so far.

The collaboration reaches a significant milestone during the Los Angeles portion of the tour, reaching its 1,000th school while visiting Markham Middle School. Senior officials from NASA and Honeywell, as well as local government and education, will be on hand to mark the occasion.

Media interested in attending one of the 45-minute performances should contact Amy Sharman at 206-307-6990 or [email protected] in advance to expedite access to these schools and confirm show times. All times below are PDT.

Monday, Oct. 6: 8:55 and 10:40 a.m., and 12:50 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 7: 9:30 and 11 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 10: 9:15 and 10:45 a.m.
Enterprise Middle School

The innovative education program hopes to inspire students to learn and enjoy math and science in a compelling, fun and memorable way and perhaps pursue real-life science and engineering careers. A workforce that is capable in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) will benefit NASA, industry and the nation as a whole as we move forward in the 21st century.
