New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Andrew Sparkler, a senior executive at ASCAP, has joined Downtown
Music Publishing (DMP), where he has been appointed as Vice President, Business Affairs & Operations.
In his new inter disciplinary role, Sparkler will supervise DMP's direct relationships with both domestic and international collection societies, manage integration between DMP's business affairs, administration and technology departments and develop new business opportunities for the company's client roster. Sparkler will be based at DMP's New York headquarters and will report to Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel, Andrew Bergman.
Sparkler was previously Vice President, Business & Membership Affairs for ASCAP, overseeing some of the organization's highest profile songwriter, composer and publisher relationships. An expert in performing rights administration, Sparkler initially joined ASCAP as
Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs in in 2008. Previously, he was an associate at Beldock, Levine & Hoffman. Sparkler is a graduate of Brown University and Fordham University School of Law.
