Eliot Bronson Shares "New Pain" With Paste Magazine
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Missing Piece Group) On October 21st, the Atlanta-based songwriter Eliot Bronson will release a self-titled album (and third solo recording), via Saturn 5 Records. Yesterday, Paste Magazine premiered the single "New Pain" and said the song has "an organic feel, with lulling vocals and guitar." This is the second preview track to be released from the album, following the release of the "rollicking eye opener" "Comin' For Ya North Georgia Blues" that premiered with Guitar World Acoustic Nation.

Eliot Bronson is now available for pre-order with an instant download of "New Pain." A limited edition vinyl pre-order and CD pre-order are available from the Saturn 5 Store.

Last week, Bronson was named Best Songwriter in Creative Loafing's "Best of Atlanta 2014" who said, "bluesy harmonies and a dark sense of humor create powerfully evocative folk songs."

For his upcoming album, Bronson enlisted the help of producer Dave Cobb, who recently won producer credit for Jason Isbell's Album of the Year award at the Americana Music Awards. Cobb has also helmed recent releases by Sturgill Simpson, Rival Sons, and Nikki Lane. "I was stunned when I got a response. It was really validating for me because I sort of had him on a pedestal," says Bronson about the cold email he sent to Cobb to produce the record.

"It was quite a pleasure workin' with Eliot," says Cobb. "He's a brilliant lyricist and poet. We did the record live all together and the album feels timeless."

The record is something of a homecoming for Bronson, who was raised in a Pentecostal home by a family for which music was prayer and life was expressed and enjoyed in song. At an early age, Bronson discovered his parents' folk collection of 1960s artists. These two became formative musical influences shaping Bronson's purposeful, pensive, and poetic songwriting.

"I spent a long time trying to get away from where I came from but it never really felt right," says Bronson. "This is the music I've always had in me."
