TORONTO, CANADA (Top40 Charts) ole-bluestone, a music publishing co-venture between ole and iconic super producer Timbaland, has completed a worldwide co-publishing deal with
David Bratton, a prominent gospel songwriter who wrote the hit single "Every Praise" for Hezekiah Walker. The song, which is included in the deal, has spent 26 weeks at #1 on the 2014 Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart.
"Bratton has been extremely successful in his own right, and we're looking forward to taking him to the next level with ole-bluestone," said Leo V. Williams IV, General Manager of Creative (Los Angeles) for ole. "We are proud to represent him and can't wait to see what he does next."
"David is a seasoned and energetic songwriter, performer, and composer who, despite his success, still hasn't hit his peak yet," said ole-bluestone's Eric Spence. "The best is yet to come!"
"It's an honor to work with a company that knows what it takes to write, record, and promote a hit song," said Bratton. "All the staffers I've met so far have been incredibly talented individuals, and I'm excited to work with them to amplify the reach of my music and, more importantly, its message."
Bratton is based in New York City, where he is a songwriter, artist, producer, and preacher. He joins a growing stable of talent at ole that also includes seminal prog-rock band Rush,
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, and up-and-coming country artists Tyler Farr, Josh Dorr, Sam Grow, and
Jesse Rice, among many others. ole-bluestone also has prior co-publishing deals in place with Garland "Sebastian" Mosley, and Clare Reynolds.
