Zaxby's Teams Up With 'The Identical' For Its First Major Motion Picture Partnership
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Zaxby's) For the first time ever, Zaxby's - a Southeast favorite for chicken fingers and wings and one of the nation's fastest-growing restaurant chains - has partnered with a major motion picture. To celebrate the launch of the movie, THE IDENTICAL, Zaxby's is offering a free song download from the movie's soundtrack each week at participating locations from now through Sept. 28. Rolling out in theatres Sept. 5, THE IDENTICAL is an inspiring drama set in the South in the 1950s during rock 'n' roll's heyday.

As an extension of the partnership, race fans will recognize the film title from the Zaxby's team car, which has been carrying movie graphics since July 19. Driver John Wes Townley makes a cameo with the Zaxby's team car in the music video for the title track, "Bee Boppin' Baby," from the all-original soundtrack.

"We are excited for the opportunity to partner with City of Peace Films and help sharing the inspiring story told in THE IDENTICAL because it's the kind of quality, family-friendly entertainment Zaxby's customers will love," said Zach McLeroy, co-founder of the company. "This is an entertaining movie with great music and a powerful message. We want the fans who enjoy our food and family-friendly culture and strong values to know about it."

THE IDENTICAL tells the story of twin brothers unknowingly separated at birth during the Great Depression. DREXEL HEMSLEY becomes an iconic 50's rock 'n' roll star, while RYAN WADE (Blake Rayne) struggles to balance his love for music and pleasing his father. The Rev. Wade (Liotta) and his wife (Judd) are sure their adopted son has been gifted and called by God to be a preacher. But Ryan challenges his parent's vision for his life, and unflinchingly chooses to launch his own music career with his best friend (Seth Green).

Performed by lead actor, Blake Rayne, "Bee Boppin' Baby," is the title track for The Identical movie's 20-plus original songs, all produced and co-written by Motown legend, Jerry Marcellino. During his famed career, Jerry Marcellino has composed and produced songs for Grammy-winning icons including Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, The Jackson 5, The Supremes and Eddie Money. THE IDENTICAL movie soundtrack will be release by City of Peace and Capital Records, but Zaxby's fans may visit participating locations or visit www.theidenticalmovie.com/zaxbys now to download a new exclusive track each week.

Yochanan Marcellino, executive producer of THE IDENTICAL and president of its production company, City of Peace Films, said Zaxby's is precisely the kind of brand he wants associated with his film.

"Zaxby's is a place for families," he explained, "and THE IDENTICAL is a film for families."

Zaxby's currently operates more than 625 locations in 15 states — Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.
