LOS ANGELES (LA Times) - According to Los Aneles Times, Michael Jackson's attorneys have accused Santa Barbara, Calif., District Attorney Tom Sneddon of being "blinded by his zeal" to prosecute the pop star and have asked that Sneddon be thrown off the child-molestation case. In court filings that were made public yesterday, Sneddon and his deputies were accused of having a "vendetta" that would prevent a fair trial for Jackson. The request that Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville boot Sneddon from the case is the latest signal of a defense strategy that challenges the motives of the prosecution.
