Canadian Indie-Core/Math-Pop Band Tommy Alto Celebrates Release Of Atlas // Patterson
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ In Music We Trust) "Radiohead meets This Town Needs Guns at a Minus the Bear concert" might come close to summing up Vancouver, Canada's Tommy Alto, a four-piece act that creates honest, innovative, and forward-thinking music.

Tommy Alto - a band, not a person - strives to keep their songs as enigmatic as they are catchy, combining bold vocal melodies with angular guitar riffs, held together by a liberatingly adventurous rhythm section.

The group's last EP, Oceans \ Carolina (self-released) was released independently in June of 2013, and immediately met with acclamatory reviews and contagious radio play across North America and Europe. Alongside the lively, equivocal, and math-rock inspired first track "Autumn Leaves," the disc features multi-faceted, highly-textured, and intricate compositions like "Oak Tree," and "The City Game," a remarkable balancing act between vivacious musicality and bracingly direct storytelling.

An outfit of Canadian music mavericks who continue to take the scene by storm, Tommy Alto is driven to make passionate, real, and memorable music for many years to come, as is evident on their new EP, Atlas // Patterson (self-released), a collection of alternative fight-pop wrapped up in indie-core/math-pop.

Press Quotes:

"Tommy Alto is changing the landscape of Indie music with their well-crafted, insightful lyrics and high-octane musical performance." - Alex Browne, Arts Reporter - Peace Arch News

"Fellas raise your fists in the air and ladies uncross your legs, Tommy Alto is what Red Bull drinks to get energy." - Kraig Wenman, Vancouver's Hottest Music

"Tommy Alto is a ridiculously cool band name. Not to mention they've got a front man within the likes of Mick Jagger. A definite band to watch out for in 2014." - Fresh Independence

"While full of hilarious antics and energetic humor, Tommy Alto is an outfit that strives for complete independence in what they doÉ proudly 100% DIY, and nothing but true to themselves." - Sonia Sophia, Y57 Media
