NEW YORK (UBO/LatinLava Records) - UBO/Latinflava artist Mosa new release " Damelo" has been literally flying out of retail stores this past two weekends and the band are staking their claims on a position in the Latin charts when they descended on two of Rincon Musica stores. Sales representatives from UBO/Latinflava targeted two stores in the New York area and sold in approximately 350 plus album each time. Marilyn Rincon who is the owner of Rincon Musica has a total of 9 stores and when they phoned in the figures the first week to Soundscan, the sales were 350 the first week. The following week, she called back and reported another 374 sales of the Damelo album and discovered that their previous week's sales were not entered. "When I called back to verify the 374 sales sold the following week, the people at Soundscan couldn't believe that there were so many units sold in a 2-day period, enthuses Marrilyn Rincon. "They said that they have successful artists in New York and don't sell that many units and I knew I was onto a winner with Mosa." Ray Acosta, VP Marketing at UBO/Latinflava said "With everyone in the music industry complaining about lack of record sales, it's a great feeling to know that as a company we at Latinflava are making a differencd and selling CDs. Mosa are a great band and are working hard to achieve this success. My only hope is that this isn't going to happen each time we submit sales to Soundcan – we wanted the band to totally blow up and have totally achieved what we set out to do."
