Philadephia, PA (Top40 Charts/ VileBorn official website) New York heavy metal band, VileBorn (facebook.com/VileBorn), is once again teaming up with Philadelphia natives "Generation Empty" and EDM superstar DJ Mike Saga for a night of epic madness - the "Clown Crawl," an annual Philadelphia event where a large group of people dress as clowns (in full makeup) and travel from bar to bar, procuring drinks and drunkenness. The after-party for the crawl will be held on July 20th at The Legendary Dobb's on 304 South Street. The concert's lineup includes Vileborn, Generation Empty, Deathmashine, and DJ Mike Saga.
Vileborn returns to Philadelphia as part of their disjointed "Vileated Tour." The tour is in support of the band's recent release, "Vileated," a self-funded four-song EP that the band cites as their studio debut. The EP garnered critical acclaim in many indie publications and blogs and gets regular spins on numerous internet and college radio stations.
Generation Empty formed in Philadelphia in 2008. The independent release of their first EP, 'Incubated,' rocketed the group to the forefront of the Philadelphia industrial scene. They soon began sharing the stage with bands like Combichrist (Out of Line/ Metropolis Records) and The Birthday
Massacre (Metropolis Records). In 2011, they caught the attention of producer Xris Smack of MindSwerve Studios (Mindless Self Indulgence) and began to focus on writing and recording their new EP
VileBorn's most recent adventure had them opening for Gemini Syndrome and Eyes Set to Kill in Amityville, NY, with other national acts such as: Straight Line Stitch (E1
Music UMG), 40 Below Summer (London-Sire Records WMG), and My Ticket Home (Rise Records), throughout the last year. They are currently scheduling shows throughout the east coast to bring the energetic, hard-hitting sound that is VileBorn, out to the masses. 2014 is turning out to be a pivotal year for the outrageous Long Island natives and they are excited for where this journey will take them.
