Rotosound Signs Stiff Little Fingers And The Sisters Of Mercy
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Rotosound) Rotosound are proud to announce Stiff Little Fingers and The Sisters of Mercy have joined their artist roster, which includes long standing endorsees Echo and the Bunnymen. All three bands achieved mainstream success in the eighties and are still thrilling audiences today. These bands, part of a rare class that has achieved cult status, are still playing to packed venues over thirty years on.

Stiff Little Fingers, the Irish punk rock legends, are still keeping punk alive with their incendiary performances. Jake Burns, front man par excellence, and Ian McCallum who has toured with the band since the mid-nineties have both become Rotosound endorsees and chosen to use the best selling R10 Rotos Nickel on steel guitar strings. 2013 saw Stiff Little Fingers undertake their most comprehensive tour of the UK for a long time and 2014 has seen the launch of their latest critically acclaimed album 'No Going Back' in March.

Leading British goth band, The Sisters of Mercy will be taking their explosive live performances back on the road again this summer with guitarists Chris Catalyst and Ben Christo now using Rotos blues. The bands live music remains fresh, exciting and full of new songs despite not having released an album since 1993.

Acclaimed British alternate rock band Echo And The Bunnymen guitarist's Will Sargeant and Gordy Goudie together with singer/guitarist Ian McCulloch are using a selection of Rotosound strings including the Pure Nickels, Rotos and Super Bronze acoustic strings. Their bassist Stephen Brannan is using Rotosound's Swing Bass 4 string Roundwound Long Scale RS66LF strings. Commenting on their choice of string band members said 'we have used Rotosound strings as long as we can remember. Perfectly pure and smooth, the sound is always consistent. We bung them on, give them a quick stretch and off we go. We can't recall the last time a Rotosound string snapped while playing live, it was probably back in 1982 and that was more like our fault for going at it like madmen!' Echo And The Bunnymen released their long awaited new album 'Meteorites' in May 2014, which will be supported by a national UK headline tour through the summer.
