New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Karlton Jones official website) The Calling, the new album from Karlton Jones takes you on a musical journey across multiple genres and delivers a unique sound that took this North Carolina native and Christian artist 7 years to deliver. Karlton was once a secular Hip-Hop artist but in 2007 that all changed when one morning he heard the audible voice of God. Several weeks later he had a near death experience that lead him to completely give his life to Jesus Christ. His encounter with God lead him to write a song titled "The Calling" in which he recreates the sound of what he heard and what the bible (1
Kings 19:12 and Matthew 3:17) describes as God still small voice. Karlton's goal is to tell the world about the love of God and encourage the listeners of his music to truly live out the calling that God has given us all to follow through the example of His son Jesus Christ.
Karlton's new album contains several hits such as "God" featuring
Ariana Garcia, "Search Me" featuring Banyi Gray, "Let My People Go" featuring The Capital City 5, Cherch Boii, and Stack City, "Manda Fuego" featuring Marianis Rodriguez, and "Your're So Wonderful" featuring Tone Jonez and The
Calling Church Children's Choir. The pulsating house beat and catchy chorus of the song "God" will definitely have your right foot tapping. The smooth jazz sound of the song "Search Me" with Karlton's rap delivers a musical breath of fresh air that only this jazz saxophonist can accomplish. The catchy bass line of "Let My People Go" along with Cherch Boii's singing, Karlton's rap, and StackCity's rap delivers an amazingly sophisticated lyrical content that glorifies God. The mesmerizing beat of "Manda Fuego" with a dynamic collaboration between Karlton and Marianis Rodriguez will have any dance floor jamming. The album closes with an amazing song titled "You're So Wonderful" that leaves the listener wanting to hear more from Karlton and be in total agreement that God is so wonderful!
Karlton is also a producer and on this album he produced over 75% of the tracks with major contributions by Gabriel Whitman, Cherch Boii, Josue Santiago, Lewis Prescott, and Tone Jonez. In addition, Karlton played his soprano saxophone throughout several songs on the album. Dale "RamBro" Ramsey, Keyland Anderson & Hugo Mendiz are the super sound engineers that made outstanding contributions to this project. The album was mixed at Ramtrax Studio in Atlanta, GA by Da Papa Roc-Z and Dale Ramsey and mastered at Compu-Music/Ramtrax Studio in Boston, MA by Joey P and Dale Ramsey.
With his new album "The Calling" officially releasing on June 24, 2014 and the official music video for "The Calling" single releasing in July 2014 Karlton states "I'm excited to be a part in the rising musical movement that praises God and helps people recognize the true meaning of life and the calling that God has given them."
