MIAMI, FL. (TVT Records) - In the Past Few Weeks, Pitbull's Album Has Landed at:
No 1 Hot Shot Debut on Billboard's Top Independent Albums Chart
No 14 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums Chart
No 7 on Top R&B/ Hip-Hop Albums Chart
No 22 on Hot Rap Tracks Chart for "Culo" single
No 37 on MTV Chart in Billboard's Video Monitor Section for "Culo" video

Miami-based Latin MC Pitbull recently released his debut album "M.I.A.M.I.: Money Is A Major Issue", on New York-based independent label TVT Records. The album was produced by The Diaz Brothers and by super producer/artist Lil Jon. It features heavyweight guests such as Lil Jon, Trick Daddy, Fat Joe, and others. The 23 year-old Cuban-American rapper's infectious sound combines hip-hop, crunk, reggae, reggeton, and dance-hall, with English and Spanish lyrics. In what seems like a short while, Pitbull has quickly become one of the most buzzworthy hip-hop acts in the country and an MTV favorite, with his debut video "Culo" (Featuring Lil Jon) recently at No 37 on the MTV (Billboard Video Monitor) chart.

At the recent MTV Video Music Awards in Miami, Pitbull performed during the televised Pre-Show, along with noteworthy acts such as Jadakiss, Ashley Simpson, and New Found Glory. He was also on MTV's Advance Warning show featured as a breaking new artist, which aired on MTV and MTV2 through the month of August. But it isn't only MTV's events where Pitbull is making his mark.
This summer he also participated in Russell Simmon's Latin Hip-Hop Summit in New York, the BET Awards in Los Angeles, the Funkmaster Flex Celebrity Car Show in Miami, and even a Burger King commercial with John Leguizamo.

Now, only four weeks after Pitbull's debut album hit streets, he's been taking a bite out of Billboard Magazine's charts, topping the Top Independent Albums, Top R&B/ Hip-Hop Albums, Hot Rap Tracks, and the MTV Video Monitor charts. Pitbull is the highest-charting Latino rapper since Fat Joe back in 1998, and is poised to surpass the mainstream level success of both Fat Joe and Big Pun.

Pitbull will continue touring and making appearances at major events throughout the year. He is also preparing for his next music video shoot for the single "Toma", set for early October. Stay tuned for more news!
