LONDON, UK (motorola PR) - Motorola, Inc, a global leader in wireless communications and T-Mobile International, one of the world's leading companies in mobile communications, today announced an alliance with global superstars and multi-platinum selling band The Black Eyed Peas.

The agreement with the Black Eyed Peas is the first of its kind and incorporates a series of new wireless, on-line, and radio promotional activities. These include competitions to win concert tickets when purchasing a Motorola E398, an exclusive opportunity to be among to first to listen to the Black Eyed Peas' new material, a chance to actually meet with the band, and even visit them during the shooting of their next music video. One fan will also get the opportunity of a lifetime to create the "official ringtone" for the band's new album, which will be available as a download from t-zones.

This unique marketing relationship will establish The Black Eyed Peas as the first group in Europe to take full advantage of the benefits of mobile music, including "mashing," video editing and live concert theme packs. In addition, exclusive Black Eyed Peas content, such as realtones, wallpapers, videos and Mobile Jukebox music tracks, will be available through T-Mobile's t-zones services which can be accessed via a dedicated t-zones button on your Motorola E398 handset. Motorola and T-Mobile customers will have unique and exclusive access to newly released content from the Black Eyed Peas, as well as many first time services.

In addition to the already existing Black Eyed Peas mobile music content accessible via t-zones, the following exclusive content will be made available only for T-Mobile customers:
- Three unreleased LIVE concert tracks from Elephunk recorded from their sellout summer tour.
- Realtones of 'Elephunk' track Labor Day and 'Behind the Front' tracks Joints & Jam and Karma.
- Four Mobile Jukebox music tracks especially remixed by the band.
- Three Black Eyed Peas voice Caller Tunes where members of the band greet people that call T-Mobile customers.
- Five exclusive Black Eyed Peas wall papers, as well as an exclusive Black Eyed Peas video.
- A selection of pre-released mobile music content prior to launch of new Black Eyed Peas album.

Furthermore, The Black Eyed Peas will be the first band in Europe to
- offer LIVE concert theme packs featuring mobile music content such as realtones, screensavers, T-Mobile's ringback tone service Caller Tunes, voice greetings, wallpapers and video clips,
- make their songs available for "mashing" online across Europe, a service that enables users to select variations of instruments and vocals from a song and manipulate music loops to produce a unique remixed version of the song,
- let customers mix video snippets into customised screensavers and video downloads.

Motorola and T-Mobile are also proud to announce that the alliance will be officially launched at two exclusive gigs with the Black Eyed Peas, in London on October 29th and in Berlin on October 31st. These will be the band's last two performances in Europe for 2004! Seven further concerts will take place early January throughout T-Mobile's territories.

The Black Eyed Peas are: will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie. They've earned fans worldwide with their inventive approach to hip-hop music, inspiring people with loose rhymes, and a positive spirit and funkafied vibe. Their fourth album, tentatively titled, Monkey Business is due out in early 2005.
"As an artist and songwriter and a person that has a community globally, I view wireless technology, mobile phones and music as the possibility of things to come a little closer," said William Adams, Band Member of The Black Eyed Peas. "I think the way to save music is for wireless technology and artists to connect."
"Music is part of everyone's life and was never consumed more than today. With ringtones making up more than half of T-Mobile's download revenues, as well as great initial uptake of our recently introduced music services Caller Tunes and Mobile Jukebox, we are looking forward to further enhancing the mobile music experience," said Dr. Klaus Tebbe, Executive Vice President, Consumer Marketing. "Today we've shown customers that through ground breaking alliances such as this with Motorola and The Black Eyed Peas, they can enjoy mobile music in many more ways, delivering to them what they want - exclusive, must-have, cool music content."
"Motorola is committed to bringing engaging and enhanced music experiences to fans through wireless innovation and exciting alliances, such as this one with T-Mobile and The Black Eyed Peas," said Alberto Moriondo, Motorola Worldwide Director, Content and Applications. "With its integrated MP3 player, MPEG 4 video playback, stereo speakers and rhythm lights, the Motorola E398 is the perfect device to maximise the potential of this programme's mobile music firsts whilst continually creating new revenue opportunities for operators and the music industry."
